TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

A baffling disappearance pulls us back into the uneasy space between rumor and proof. We unpack why a ransom note felt off from the start, how a late-night livestream stirs theories about a staged scene, and what unexplained details like broken cameras and blood patterns actually suggest—and don’t. Rather than rush to a neat ending, we sit with uncertainty, sort signal from noise, and ask the question that matters most: if it wasn’t a kidnapping, where is she?

From there, we pivot to travel news with real-world consequences. A well-loved Alaska cruise line calls it quits after 15 years, canceling sailings and promising refunds while its parent company keeps day tours alive. We talk seasonal economics, contingency planning, and why flexible bookings and quick communications are the difference between chaos and goodwill. If you’ve ever dreamed of glaciers, fjords, and Alaska Native culture, this segment helps you understand the market and plot your next move with confidence.

Health takes center stage as reports surface of GLP-1 users courting an old-world problem: scurvy. Appetite-suppressing drugs like semaglutide can quietly shrink nutrient intake, and when vitamin C, protein, and fiber drop, so does resilience. We break down the physiology in plain language—resting metabolic rate, muscle mass, and sustainable routines—offering practical steps to protect nutrition while pursuing weight loss or diabetes control. Then we answer a timeless household debate: why women often feel colder than men. The science points to lower average metabolic rates and smaller body size, not thin skin or fussiness, and we share easy ways to balance comfort at home and in bed.

Stick around to the end for our cozy wind-down—blankets, cooling sleep masks, and how to fine-tune your sleep setup so you drift off faster and stay comfortable through the night. If this mix of mystery, travel reality, and health smarts resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review—what theory or takeaway stuck with you most?

Good morning my little love bunnies. Not many more episodes now. Oh gosh, I have a few stories for you. I have three of them of course, but let's talk about the Savannah Guthrie missing mom again.

Revisiting The Missing Mom Case

SPEAKER_00

What do you think is happening? I always thought that the ransom note was a hoax to begin with. But then I mean if it's not a kidnapping, then where is she? Somebody took her, right? Oh my gosh, I said right. Somebody took her. I don't think she just walked out of the house because she can't walk very far. The other, I've heard s there's a live stream that I've been watching on YouTube that I'm just freaking addicted to. They don't do anything but sit out there in front of the house. Sometimes they'll talk. But the a a commenter

Livestream Theories And Staged Scene

SPEAKER_00

on there said she thinks that the mother something happened to her at the sister's house. And they didn't actually take her back to her house, but they staged it for somehow, some reason. And they spent 41 minutes or however long breaking the cameras and planting stuff there. Now I don't know why they would plant the blood splatter there. Maybe to say that she was there. I I don't know to make it look like a kidnapping. That's a lot of planning, or even if it was last minute, that's a lot of things to do. So I don't know. And we're not getting any kind of information because they obviously don't know either. I mean you can't get blood out of a turnip. And that saying that never made sense to me. You blood turnips don't bleed. Okay. I'm sorry. I need to move on to the stories. I just hope there's some resolution for this family. My goodness, it's terrible. I can't even imagine what they're going through at all. Alright. Whoa, one of the most picturesque cruise lines has abruptly shut down after 15 years of service. The Alaskan cruises no more. A popular cruise line has abruptly shut down and ceased all operations

Cruise Line Abruptly Shuts Down

SPEAKER_00

after 15 years. On February 4th, Alaskan Dream Cruises announced that it will be shutting down for good and all planned cruises will be canceled. Since 2011, Alaskan Dream Cruises has had the privilege of sharing the wonders of Alaska and the richness of our Alaska native heritage with incredible guests from across the globe. It has been an equal honor to work alongside extraordinary communities, partners, and crew, the cruise line said in a statement on Facebook. Read more. Effective immediately. Alaskan Dream Cruises has ceased business operations and will no longer be operating future sailings. We are deeply grateful for the trust that you have placed in us. Okay, blah, blah, blah. But tell me why. Why are you not doing it? At the time of the announcement, excuse me, Alaska Dream Cruise has no active trips going on since they primarily sail from May through September, Alaska's cruise season. The small ship cruise line, which once offered five to ten night sailings to Southeast Alaska, noted that guests who had existing reservations should have received refunds and information on the next steps via email. Alaska Dream Cruise also said it was working with uncruise adventures to help voyagers find other booking opportunities. Well, tell me why, though the cruise will no longer operate, its parent company, Allen Marine Tours, will continue to offer excursions that showcase Alaska's natural beauty and cultural heritage. The decision to shutter was essential and necessary, Jamie Cagle, one of the owners of Alaska Dream Cruises, told the Daily The Daily Something The Daily Sitka? Okay. After careful evaluation

Why The Closure And Refunds

SPEAKER_00

of our long term objectives, we determined that concluding cruise operations allows us to responsibly focus our resources where they will have the greatest impact, so maybe money. Obviously it's gonna be money. It's always about the Benjamins, isn't it? Well, I've never been on Alaskan cruise ship. I really have had no desire to go on one. My husband hadn't talked my husband had talked about going on one, perhaps, but I don't know. Speaking of cruises and sailors, this really has nothing to do with it. People are getting an old timey sailors disease on GLP ones. That's right. All these people taking these GLP ones,

GLP-1 Drugs And Scurvy Concerns

SPEAKER_00

it curbs their appetites, supposedly. And so therefore they're not getting the nutrients that they need. Therefore, one of those nutrients is vitamin C. So of course they're going to be malnourished and get the scurvy. Top dietitians in Australia, well, okay, it's in Australia, so take that for what it's worth, this week are waving a red flag about an unforeseen impact of GLP1 class of weight loss drugs, including Ozempic, Wigove, and Mongero. And I mean, this kind of just makes sense, does it not? I mean, when this first came out, I thought, well, yeah, there's there's can't this can't be good. You're starving yourself. No wonder you're gonna lose weight. This injection makes you not want to eat. Of course you're gonna lose weight. But not in a good way. And I've seen so many people or where I work, they go on it and obviously you can tell when they go off of it because they gain the weight right back. I've seen it time and time again. But now they're getting the scurvy because of the lack of vitamin C. I mean, I don't know. These people, these some of these people are some of these people, not all of them, are probably the same people who fussed and fussed about the um vaccines. I'm not putting that in my body. Oh no, no, but then by God, they'll take the injections of weight loss, won't they? Nothing, I trust me, I'm not a vaccine person at all. Um, part of what makes these drugs so effective for weight loss and diabetes management is their ability to suppress appetite. But not eating or not eating enough of the right stuff is simply not sustainable path forward for anyone. Well, duh, I mean, this is all common sense. Have we not known this for a while now? Anyway, I, you know, when remember when the lap band and the stomach surgery and you know shrinking your stomach with the

Appetite, Weight Loss, And Sustainability

SPEAKER_00

I don't even know the other ones that are called. And I thought there is no way I could do that because I am always hungry and I would probably kill myself. Even though they stapled my stomach shut, I would still want to eat and I would hurt myself. So I don't think these weight loss dru this weight loss this weight loss drug injections will would work for me either. It would just be a waste of money because I don't think it could work. I'm just constantly frickin' hungry. I do work out though, so that might be part of it. Alright, moving on to our last story. Sorry. Yes, women often feel colder than men, and here's why. Basically, women have a lower metabolic heart rate. Because

Why Women Often Feel Colder

SPEAKER_00

we don't have we have smaller hearts, smaller bodies, smaller lungs. We don't have to work as hard. We d we have smaller muscle mass. Hello. We've all known this. Our hearts, I guess, doesn't have to work as hard to keep up with the men like the men's hearts do. Alright. Men are from chili Mars, yet they apparently run hotter while women feel left out in the cold. One study goes to the bottom, wait, one study got to the bottom of this phenomenon and proposed an explanation of why half the population feels like they're constantly bundling up. Looking at how 28 healthy men and women responded to temperatures between 62 and 88 degrees, researchers noted an Arctic shift in the women who had cooler temperatures. The reason behind this difference is more than skin deep. Skin temperatures really don't vary that differently than the men. Lead study author Dr. Robert Breichte told the post. What we did find was that the women tended to have a lower resting metabolic rate than the men, and that's related to their smaller body sizes. Take that trans cult ideology, trans people. The smaller person, whether it's a man or a woman, is going to produce a lower amount of heat. Resting metabolic rate is the calories your body burns at rest. Okay, we know all that. Well, there you go. That's the reason. Don't worry, when you get into your 50s and menopause kicks in and you have those hot flashes, you're gonna heat up just fine. All right, that's all I've got for you today. We need to move on to the question of the day, which is okay, since we're talking about men and women and body temperatures, how many blankets do you have on your bed? We have a

Blankets, Sleep Hacks, And Sign-Off

SPEAKER_00

sheet and then we have a comforter. That's our main blankets. And then if we get colder, if I get colder on my side, I can pile up more blankets. Now, like last night, it was a little bit warmer these days here in Alabama, so I didn't need as many blankets when I went to bed. Um, so I just had one more thin blanket on top of the comforter. Of course, halfway through the night I kicked them all off. Of course. Now I do sleep now with a cooled uh sleep mask that enwraps your whole head over your eyes, your ears, everywhere. And oh my gosh, it is to die for. I keep it in the freezer. But when I go to bed, I take it out of the freezer and at least a good 30 minutes before I go to bed to help it warm up a little bit. It's still cold, and it oh, it it's it's heavy too. It's heavy. I can't explain it. But you put this on your head and it blacks everything out, and it's cool. Oh gosh, it's so wonderful. I get such a good sleep out of that, and I cover up, you know, real good with my own blankets. Oh, it's so good. You just get all cocooned up in there in the bed, and oh, I sleep so good. So, so good. But then, like I said, halfway through everything comes off. All right, I gotta go. Thanks for listening. Not much longer now, y'all. Bye.
